Phentermine Addiction

Is it against the law for a coworker to solicit you to sell her, prexcription diet pills?

I work for one of the largest advertising agency in the world. There is a coworker that has been struggling to lose weight.(She is overweight)She has tried many diets & pills. Her latest addiction is, "Phentermine."Her Dr refuses to give her anymore refills, so she solicits some of us to see if we can get some for her or sell some to her;because ordering them onlne takes too long & is not readily available to her now. I mentioned this to my super a few months back in 2007, she just smiled & shook her head. Is this against the law to sell prescription diet pills or to solicit someone to sell them to you?She even asked for my Dr's #, because she was going to pretend to be a new patient so that she can get a new prescription for these pills.

  1. Yes, it is against the law to sell RX drugs, don't do it. Soliciting, it's probably a Misdemeanor, class C .. nothing too serious.
  2. If you were to sell Phentermine to her, that would make you a drug dealer. You want no part of that. It's not illegal for her to "doctor shop", but if you do give her your doctor's number, you should advice your doctor of what she's doing.
  3. Yes it's against the law. Pusher man.......
  4. yes its illegel what planet do you live on if i was you i would tell her to cut the crap and try sumthin like exercising and for gods sake dont freaking sell her anything she could have an allergic reaction or od and you dont want to have the on your concience
  5. It is against the law for you to dispense drugs with out lic to do so. It is not against the law for you to help someone that calling out for help to everyone she knows that can help. Be a friend, talk to her show her other ways of getting her problem in line with her life. Give her a list of doctors that do surgery on the body to adjust the tummy so it can't take in so much and you loose weight. their is a new product on the market for a in office surgery that with three small cuts puts a band around the opening to the stomach. it can be adjusted tighter or looser as needed in the future or completely removed with needed. start with helping her, and no just passing her off to someone else as a joke or a drug addict. Please, you can help her.
  6. It's against the law. Tell her "no." that you only have a few left and can't spare any and stay out of it. You don't need trouble at work. You boss doesn't seem too concerned, so I wouldn't make trouble. Don't talk about what medications you take at work. If she asks you, say that you are almost out yourself and can't get any more. That should get her off of you back. If she wants your Doctor's number give it to her and have nothing more to do with it. Tell her your doctor won't prescribe anymore for you. Don't discuss the subject with her anymore. You don't need trouble at work. *************************** If you feel bound to offer some kind of help refer her to Overeaters Anonymous. If you take her on as a "personal project" you will have problems at the office. OA can make her aware of other therapies.
